Being a delegate at inomun

GREETINGS DELEGATES

Here are some things that might help you prepare for the conference!

  • Writing a position paper:

As you may or may not know, in a MUN, delegates debate over essays called ‘Position Paper’ to try to solve the main issue of the debate.

But what is a Position Paper exactly ?

Your Position Paper is a one-page essay that you write to set out your country's position or policy on an issue. You will bring it with you to help you suggest resolutions and make you more confident and knowledgeable. At the beginning of the debate (called the lobbying), the delegates will have some time to present their clause to the other delegates. If the delegates are wishing to debate over this Position Paper (also called clause), they can sign it at the bottom of the page or co-submit the clause if they strongly agree with it.

Moreover, you will need to bring it on the day of the conference, already printed or written.
